Answer: Partly. Wyze says Cam v4, Cam Pan v3 and Video Doorbell v2 can keep recording to microSD without Wi-Fi if recording was scheduled while online. Wyze Video Doorbell (v1) and Doorbell Pro cannot. Live viewing in the app requires internet.
Wyze's support article (updated Aug 12, 2026) says the Wyze Cam v4, Cam Pan v3 and Video Doorbell v2 can record to a microSD card without Wi-Fi, provided recording was scheduled beforehand while online. The original Video Doorbell and the Doorbell Pro cannot. 1
Wyze's product page says viewing live video in the app requires an internet connection, and resetting a Cam v4 unbinds it from your Wyze account. 2
Does Wyze Cam v4 support RTSP?
No. Wyze's RTSP firmware is only offered for Cam v2, v3 and Pan v1. 3
